Léonard, Store Manager, Burton of London
I am the supervisor of the Burton of London store located in Annecy
Burton of London is a brand with beautiful values which are well embedded and perfectly match mine.
I was trusted from the beginning and over time, I think I knew how to prove that I was worthy.
Today, through my management, I try to train my teams and give them the same chance I was granted.
I started at Burton of London five years ago as a salesman to replace an absent colleague at the Grenoble store.
At the time, I had just finished my studies (HND in Business Management) and I was looking for an additional training / diploma that would be recognised by professionals.
After 6 months, I was offered a long-term contract by the previous Burton of London store manager. I could then join the in-house “Burton of London” training. He was convinced I had the capabilities to run a point of sale.
The Burton School offered a professionally recognised diploma and combined field practice (3 weeks per month) and theory (1 week per month).
This training was a revelation for me as it allowed me to have the required managerial skills for the store manager position.
Once the training was completed, I passed the exams (1st of the year group) and I was offered the position of manager for the Burton of London store in Creil.
This was for me a “school store” as I had just started in the job, and it allowed me to build solid managerial bases.
I spent three years at the Creil store and the successes were numerous, both by the achievement of many objectives and on the human level.
Today the Burton of London adventure continues as I have just been transferred to the Annecy store, which is a very nice challenge.
